Maasdam – A characteristic Dutch cheese
This modern, creamy, semi-hard cheese full of ‘eyes’ (holes) is made from cow’s milk, and is available both in wheels and blocks. Maasdam contains a minimum of 45% fat and was created in the 1980s as an alternative to Swiss Emmental.

Sweet and nutty
Maasdam is soft and sweet, with a nutty flavour and a fruity aftertaste. It is eaten young, and is delicious either as a snack or in a sandwich.

Packaged Maasdam
We supply both foil-ripened Maasdam (in quantities of 3 kg and 15 kg) and naturally-ripened Maasdam (in 12 kg wheels, slices or pieces).
